I got exemption in cost and management accounting. i didn't want the exemption so i appeared in the exam. i send the request for cancellation to the institute through email after appearing in the exam. i have read that when i appear in the exam the exemption gets cancelled automatically. 

But in my center i was asked to give them a  letter or any proof regarding the cancellation of the exemption. Is it necessary?
